The City of Palm Desert has made innovative changes to how residents choose their City Council.

Learn what's new this November.

Beginning with the November 2020 City Council election, the City will have four council seats that are elected at-large and one council seat that is elected from a new downtown district. This new form of local representation is the result of a legal settlement that brings the City into compliance with the California Voting Rights Act (CVRA).
