10:49 am - Vehicle Theft / Vandalism Arrest: Deputies responded to the Civic Center Park regarding three subjects destroying the grass by driving a Polaris Ranger UTV on the grass. The Polaris Ranger was reported stolen earlier in the day (reference File #T193230016). Deputies located the UTV and attempted to stop the Polaris Ranger. The driver and occupants did not stop and ultimately collided with the bus stop located on Fred Waring Drive and San Anselmo Drive. The juvenile driver was arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall. The passengers were released to parents and charges will be filed out of custody. File #T193230028
6:00 pm - Warrant Arrest / Residential Burglary Arrest: Members from the Palm Desert Burglary Suppression Unit conducted a follow up investigation reference a residential burglary that occurred on Madrid Drive on 10/22/2019. One subject was arrested for three counts of residential burglary, possession of stolen property, identity theft and an outstanding felony warrant for identity theft. File #T192950089 / #T193230122.
8:05 pm - Robbery: Deputies responded to the 73-900 block of Highway 111 reference a strong armed robbery that occurred in a convenience store. A male adult was confronted by the store clerk while the subject was attempting to steel beer. The clerk and the suspect fought within the store, and the suspect fled with the beer in a waiting vehicle driven by another suspect. The incident is still under investigation. File #T193230133
