Free Fall Concerts Return to Civic Center Park
Featuring live music under the stars every Thursday night in October
Palm Desert’s free Fall Concerts in the Park continue this Thursday, October 10, at 6 p.m. with a performance by the Amanda Castro Jazz Band.
The Southern California-based band specializes in an eclectic mix of upbeat jazz with a unique style that has entertained audiences at venues including The Beverly Hills Hotel, The House of Blues, and at the Hard Rock and Mandalay Bay hotels in Las Vegas.
On stage at the Civic Center Park amphitheater from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Palm Desert’s Fall Concerts will feature a variety of talented musical acts designed to please music lovers of all ages and tastes. Upcoming concert series performances include the 90s Rock Show (October 17); Rat Pack favorites from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. performed by The Pack (October 24); and a Halloween grand finale featuring Dead Man’s Party, the perennially popular Oingo Boingo Tribute Band. The City extends its thanks to the Desert Recreation District for its support of this year’s Fall Concert Series.
This year’s concert series includes the debut of a beer garden at Civic Center Park offering brews curated by La Quinta Brewing Company. Fall Concerts also means the return of food trucks to the park where concertgoers can sample mouthwatering mobile culinary creations. Attendees are also encouraged to bring picnic baskets, along with their blankets or lawn chairs, to enjoy the shows. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited with the exception of the offerings inside the beer garden and smoking is prohibited throughout the park.
Civic Center Park is located on the northeast corner of San Pablo Avenue and Fred Waring Drive. For more information, please call 760-568-1441.
