Palm Desert Dog Parks Closing for Overseeding & Repairs
Palm Desert dog park visitors and their furry friends will need to find a temporary alternative beginning the week of September 26 when the City's four dog parks are closed for grass overseeding and annual repairs.
Civic Center Dog Park is scheduled to close October 1. All dog parks are scheduled to reopen by October 30, giving the tender new grass time to grow strong enough to support the scampering, rolling, and general canine cavorting that occurs there throughout the year. People and their dogs can still enjoy Palm Desert's many other parks during the closures as long as the dogs are on a leash.
Dogs are also allowed off leash at Cap Homme / Ralph Adams Park during the dog park closure, but must be under voice control at all times.
