09:34 AM – Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance Arrest - Officers responded to an unknown trouble in the tamarisks trees on Country Club Drive and Washington Street. The reporting party stated they heard yelling coming from the tress. Officers contacted a subject and arrested him for being under the influence of narcotics. File #T180650054.
12:00 PM - Massage Compliance Checks - Officers from the Palm Desert Business District Team conducted compliance checks with Palm Desert Code Compliance Officers at four local massage establishments. They checked for proper licensing, signage, logs, and to observe any possible signs of illegal activity. During the compliance checks, one establishment was issued a citation for having an unlicensed masseuse working at the location and two others were issued warnings for keeping improper logs. 09:26 PM - Felony Identity Theft Arrest - Officers from the Palm Desert Business District Team conducted a vehicle check and recognized the subject as the suspect in a check fraud investigation. The subject was interviewed and subsequently arrested for felony identity theft and forgery. File #T172540111.
