09:05 AM - Trespass and Narcotics Violation Arrest -  Officers responded to the 74100 block of Desert Star Boulevard reference a trespass investigation.  Upon arrival, Officers contacted a subject in the backyard of the vacant residence.  Another subject was located next door searching trash bins.  The property owner of the vacant residence responded to the scene and signed an arrest by private person’s form.  One subject was arrested for trespassing and the other for possession of methamphetamine.   File #T180160030

 

06:52 AM - Multiple Vehicle Burglaries - Officers responded to the area of the Michigan Drive and Warner Trail regarding multiple vehicle burglaries. A total of 4 vehicles were burglarized between 01-15-18, 2030 hours and 01-16-18, 0630 hours. The mode of entry was shattered windows.  T180160011, 0017, 0022, 0027.

 

02:00 PM - Child Molestation Arrest -  On 12/12/2017, officers initiated an investigation into a possible child molestation.  On 01/16/2018 Investigators arrested a subject for three counts of lewd and lascivious acts on a child under 14.  File #T173460038

 

03:37 PM - Assist Other Department / Riverside County Forestry - Officers responded to the 74100 block of Peppergrass Street to assist with a structure fire.  All residences in close proximity were evacuated. There were no injuries and Palm Desert Police assisted in blocking intersections in the areas of Fairway Drive, Peppergrass Street, Deep Canyon and Yucca Tree Drive. Public Works Department responded with barricades and closed off the streets in the immediate area.  File #T180160082
