Draft Fair Housing Plan Ready for Public Review
Assessment Identifies Housing Goals and Priorities
In an effort to promote fair housing choice, foster an inclusive and integrated community, and remove barriers to opportunity, the City has prepared a draft Assessment of Fair Housing incorporating input from the community.
The draft plan is ready for review by the public and can be accessed here.
The assessment is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in order for Palm Desert to continue receiving community development block grants. The City uses these annually distributed federal dollars to support a variety of local nonprofit organizations that serve Palm Desert and Coachella Valley residents.
