City Studying Fair Housing
Assessment Will Identify Related Goals and Priorities
In an effort to promote fair housing choice, foster an inclusive and integrated community, and remove barriers to opportunity, the City is preparing an Assessment of Fair Housing.
As part of its assessment, the City will study data and issues that affect fair housing in Palm Desert and identify related goals and priorities. The assessment is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in order for Palm Desert to continue receiving community development block grants. The City uses these annually distributed federal dollars to support a variety of local nonprofit organizations that serve Palm Desert and Coachella Valley residents.
Completed surveys can be submitted in person or mailed to: Palm Desert City Hall, Attention: Frankie Riddle, 73510 Fred Waring Drive, Palm Desert, CA 92260.
