Energy Independence Update

Since the news hit about the passage of Assembly Bill 811 on July 21, over 200 Palm Desert property owners have contacted the City to express their interest in finding out more about Palm Desert’s Energy Independence Program (EIP). This program will allow residents to use a special property tax assessment to finance energy efficiency and solar improvements on their homes and businesses. The City is putting the final touches on the program and will present it for public comment at the Council Meeting on August 28. Updated information is available here.
